Pa•dá•yon
(adv.) “to continue,” “carry on,” or “move forward”
Padayon is a Visayan word meaning “to continue,” “carry on,” or “move forward.” It captures the quiet decision to keep going, not through pressure or urgency, but through intention and self-trust. Padayon honours the idea that growth is not always loud or linear; sometimes it is simply choosing to take the next step.
Written in Baybayin, the ancient pre-colonial Filipino script, Padayon bridges cultural heritage with modern mental health care. It speaks to Filipino, BIPOC, and immigrant communities navigating generational patterns, cultural transitions, and personal growth. At its heart, Padayon is about moving forward in a way that feels aligned, empowered, and true to who you are.
Our Approach
At Padayon Therapy Space, we believe everyone deserves support, especially those navigating the complexities of identity, culture, family, and life transitions. We work with Filipino and Filipino-Canadian individuals, BIPOC communities, immigrants and children of immigrants, perfectionists, people-pleasers, high achievers, and cycle-breakers, those ready to better understand themselves and challenge patterns that no longer serve them.
Our approach meets you where you are, honouring your culture, identity, values, and personal journey. We recognize that for many Filipino and BIPOC clients, family expectations, cultural values, generational patterns, and the experience of navigating multiple cultures can shape how we understand ourselves and our relationships.
We combine empathy, cultural responsiveness, and evidence-based tools to help you better understand your experiences, reconnect with your inner strengths, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. Therapy is a space to explore what you've carried, what you want to let go of, and what you want to carry forward.
Together, we create space for vulnerability, growth, healing, and meaningful change so you can build a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and truly your own.
